This page contains a selection of links to radio and TV websites, reflecting my interest in UK media

From the mid-80's to 1999, I was worked in the broadcast radio industry, starting at Hospital Radio (Thameside) in Southend-on-Sea, then moving to Essex Radio as a freelancer, finally being employed for the launch of Breeze AM in 1989. In 1990, I then moved to London as Commercial Producer and Station Engineer for Spectrum Radio. 1994 saw me back at Essex Radio working for the Creative Team, finally moving to Engineering as IT Manager. This involved setting up the computerised playout systems for Essex FM, Breeze, Vibe FM, Oasis FM, Ten17 and KFM.

I'm out of the industry now - radio's not what is was in what I loosely call "the good old days".... but even though it's all about balance sheets and liner cards, and not innovation and serving the audience, I still keep an ear on what's going on. In the spirit of nostalgia, I've put together an 'Essex Radio Remembered' page, and helped with the 21st anniversary re-union of the Essex Radio team.

Latest: New site, Radio and Telly, has been set up, dedicated to UK Radio and TV links and nostalgia
