Welcome to Pete Sipple’s Space
Pete and Radio:
I have fond memories of my days working in local radio. My journey started with Thameside Radio, before moving on to spend some of the best years of my life in a basement at Essex Radio. There then followed a brief spell as Head of Production for Spectrum Radio, then IT Manager for a group of stations. I was at my happiest as a humble technical operator in a basement studio in Southend-on-Sea.
Today: I’m still involved with the industry by teaching occasional radio courses at South Essex College, I present an award-winning technology radio show, am a trustee for a hospital radio station, and am exploring the world of amateur radio (callsign M0PSX).
Pete and Tech:
With roots firmly planted in a tech world, after years writing for a popular technology magazine and writing shareware for handheld computers, I was drawn from radio to the world of mobile computing, to work for Psion designing mobile software. In more recent years, I worked as a Project Manager for leading software firms in London.
Today: I’m working for myself, looking after a number of Internet-related projects, some freelance consultancy, writing content for websites and working on podcasts.
